What is a ReStore?

Habitat for Humanity ReStores are building supply stores that accept and resell quality new and used building materials. All administrative and operational costs at Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex Inc. are funded by revenues generated by the Windsor-Essex Habitat ReStore.

Volunteers salvage good saleable items from houses being demolished or renovated. Homeowners make donations following their own renovations, and companies donate new goods, including excess inventory, end-of-line materials, and discontinued or display items.

The ReStore also benefits the community by keeping these items out of landfills, and by providing affordable materials to renovators, homeowners, landlords, cottagers and others.

Retail outlets and manufacturers can donate end-of-line, scratch and dent, discontinued inventory, mistints, and customer returns to the ReStore, thus avoiding the cost of returning them to the manufacturer.

Want to change the look of your outdated bathroom? Check out our sinks, toilets, tubs, vanities and faucets.

Putting on an addition? We have doors, windows, flooring and anything else you might need for your renovation project.

Because some of our materials are donated from demolition projects, sometimes hard-to-find items, or odd-sized doors and windows are available.

Items are donated daily so each trip will bring you something new!

Monday to Friday: 9am - 5pm
Saturday: 10am - 4pm
Sunday: Closed
